JESUS
Who is He? Does He love you? How can He transform your life?
Perhaps the two most important and profound questions ever asked are found in the Bible. Jesus Himself asked his followers, “...Whom do men say that I am?” (Mark 8:26) and "...But whom say ye that I am?" (Mark 8:27). These are two questions that every man and woman must answer. Who is Jesus to others and who is Jesus to me?
Many say that Jesus is a prophet, a good man or even a great Jewish rabbi. Others say that Jesus is just a man, a deceiver or even a criminal. While there are many opinions as to who Jesus really is, there is really only one way to know the truth. That truth is found in God's Word, the Bible.
WHY JESUS?
Four things the Bible says about Jesus:
God sent His Son to introduce Himself to you, but He also wants you to know a few things about yourself.
First, the Bible says that God loves you!
In the Bible we learn that God loves everyone regardless of their background, race, age or any other factor. God loves you and desires to have a personal relationship with you.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Second, the Bible says that you are a sinner.
(Rom 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
No one is perfect. We ALL have broken God’s commandments. This is called sin. The Bible tells us that sin separates us from God.
(Isa 59:1-2) Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: (2) But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Third, the Bible says that sin has a price.
The consequence of our sin is death. The Bible says that the price of sin is death. Death is two-fold in that it is both physical and spiritual. The soul is separated not only from the body but also separated from God forever in a place called Hell.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom 6:23)
Finally, the Bible says that Jesus, God's Son, paid the price for your sin!
The Bible teaches us that Jesus died on the cross, not because He was guilty, but because we are. Jesus lived a perfect life, but He died for the sins of the whole world. If you believe on Him, He can and will save you today and give you eternal life in Heaven. He alone has power over the grave as demonstrated in His resurrection.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Rom. 10:13)
Jesus said…I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: (John 11:25)
Will you place your trust in Jesus?
What you just read above is a promise directly from God that you can claim as your own! You can now enter into a new life with Jesus Christ by giving your life to Him:
Step 1 – Repent & Trust Jesus
If you would like to begin a relationship with Jesus, you can, right now. Simply pray and ask the Lord to forgive you for your sins and be your Savior.
Step 2 – Pray something like this.
Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I realize that the price of that sin is eternal separation from you in Hell. I ask You now to forgive me of all of my sins. Through the blood You shed on the cross, cleanse me. I now, to the best of my ability, open my heart to You. I ask You to come into my life and be my Savior. Change my life. Thank You for Your promise that those who believe in You will have everlasting life in Heaven with You!
